Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is an American and Canadian musician and singer. Her albums span over 20 years. Her music is classified as folk rock and alternative rock although it includes influences from punk funk hip hop and jazz. A feminist icon widely recognized as Grammy award winner Ani DiFranco is the mother of the DIY movement. She was one of the first musicians to launch her own label 1990. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23 1970 the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco and Dante Americo DiFranco, who become acquainted while at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mother hails from Montreal and her father comes from Italian origins. 32 Flavors was a track written that was performed and written by Ani DiFranco. It was included as the fifth single from DiFranco's 1995 studio album Not a Pretty Girl. The song appeared on the soundtrack for the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999.
