Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe comes from a multicultural family. Born in South London. She is English as well as her father is Nigerian. She was born on the south London Council Estate. She was a student at The Brit School aged 14. She graduated with a BA in acting at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She appeared on stage in many productions while attending school including the role of King Henry V, as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started acting in Storm Damage. In the years since, she's been a guest star on Teachers, Doctors, Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film role was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), opposite Colin Farrell. Following this acclaim, she appeared as Elisha on The BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and appeared in six episodes Trexx as well as Flipside. In 2008, she was cast as Bambi, the lead role on ITV2's show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe made an appearance in the 2008 Comedy film How to Lose Friends & Affect People. Performance credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe was officially introduced to her US debut in the series The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show aired just two episodes at The CW, and was eventually cancelled. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge as of February 2011. After being a regular for the initial two seasons it was reported in late May 2013 that Madekwe would leave the show after a guest appearance in the pilot episode in the season's third. The actress portrayed Tituba on the show Salem from 2014 until 2016. Madekwe and her boyfriend for many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wed in June of 2012. Alongside Secret Diary of a Call Girl they also appeared in tandem on Salem and he had an appearance with her on the show on TV.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress, who was born into a big family. She was the daughter of Patty and Roy Leggat. Ashley Leggat was born to Roy and Patty as well her older siblings, Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's athletic brothers played baseball in summer and hockey in the winter. Ashley was never a walker, she was a dancer, and at age just two years old, she began Baby Ballet -and she fell in love with. Ashley discovered a love for dancing after she started Baby Ballet. Ashley continued to dance competitively throughout high school in top divisions such as tap, Jazz, Ballet and Pointe. She also competed in Acrobatics, Acrobatics Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, and more. She was crowned the top individualist in all the main dance contests, including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
