Meagan Monique Good was born August 8 1981 in the Panorama City neighborhood of Los Angeles to Tyra Wardlow-Doyle. Her mother managed her in her teens and her father Leondis Leon Good is an LAPD police officer. Her career in acting began at age four. She grew up in Canyon Country, California with three siblings. At the beginning of her career, she was an extra on television shows such as Doogie Howser Amen and M.D. When she was 13, she made her debut in the film, Friday. First gaining attention during 1997 due to her performance in the role of Cisely batiste (a struggling teenage girl) in Eve's Bayou, for which she was nominated twice as well as an N.A.A.C.P. Image Award nomination. Good began with minor roles in film and on TV for a couple of years, and then moved into adult roles in the early 2000s. The role she played was Nina, Nickelodeon T.V.'s Cousin Skeeter. From 1998 to 2001, she was on the program "Cousin Skeeter". In addition, she had small role on the film House Party, Down to the Very Final Minute as well as 3 Strikes. She portrayed Vanessa Scott in the sitcom My Wife and Kids in 2003. In 2004, she starred in D.E.B.S an action comedy film which was nominated in the category of Best Actress on the Black Movie Awards 2005. Kara Killmer debuted on screen after starring in many local productions in Simon Fuller's television series If I Can Dream pilot in 2010. The show on Hulu, If I Can dream revolves around the lives of a bunch of performers who reside in Hollywood California.
