Julia Fiona Roberts was born in Atlanta on October 28 1967 to Betty Lou Bredemus and Walter Grady Roberts. Julia Fona Roberts is the 4th generation Roberts who reside in Atlanta. Her father was interested in theatre since a young stage. When he was a college students studying at Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he took part in several performances. In 1953, he joined the Air Force and while stationed in Biloxi in Mississippi acted in a play with Betty Lou Bredemus. Eric Anthony was their first born. The couple was married in the year. Walter was a student at Tulane University at New Orleans, Louisiana in 1957 after the couple left the US Air Force. Walter worked for Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. The family moved in 1960 and relocated in Decatur Georgia. Walter along with Betty Lou started production in 1964 for the local children's Saturday morning TV show Bum Bum and His Buddies and their Buddies, which they both funded. They also founded an organization that lasted for six years called the Actors and Writers Workshop later the same year. In the meantime, they had two more children Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in 1965 and Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
