At the age of 19, she published her first debut single, Here. It was a hugely acclaimed track by critics as well as listeners. It reached 19th place in both Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone ranked the song as one of 2015's Top Songs. The same year, she debuted her album Know It All with the third single Scars to Your Beautiful being the first of five tracks that peaked at Billboard charts, including those of the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as the Billboard Hot 100. This particular track was special because it was based on an interview with rapper Rap-Up, many of the listeners related to her journey of self-doubt, and her journey to learn how to accept herself. Cara's music is known to be filled with messages of kindness self-love, self-love and mental wellness. Her music is a reflection of her own personal struggles with mental illness and insomnia. According to an Reuters Interview, her album was described as halfway tumultuous, half perfected. She says she grew by therapy and is adamant about encouraging anyone else to seek out help when necessary. Alessia Cara has been a Canadian artist since 1996. Her parents come from Italian descent. When she was 10 years old her parents gave her a guitar which became the foundation of her passion for music. Three years later, when she was 13 years old, she started to sing her favorite tracks via YouTube. It was an excellent method to demonstrate to the world the fact that she had the talent and the courage. One of her tracks, Sweater Weather, was the one that got her attention. EP Entertainment gave her the opportunity to create and compose her own music.
