Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on the 11th of July 1996. In 2010, her parents bought her a new guitar that she was able to use to develop her passion for the music. In 2013, she performed some of her most loved songs on YouTube, a popular media platform. The goal was to prove that she had the capability and the self-confidence to become an artist. Actually, one of her cover songs Sweater Weather was the song that got her noticed by EP Entertainment. They allowed her to write as well as record herself music.
