The singer released her debut single, Here in 2015, when she was just aged 19. It was an instant hit with both critics as well as fans praised the song. In the Canadian Hot 100, and Billboard Hot 100, ranked it as 19. Even Rolling Stone ranked the song among the 2015's most memorable Songs. That same year, she released her debut album Know It All with the third single Scars to Your Beautiful being one of the five original songs which peaked on the Billboard charts including The Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. The track was distinctive because many people related to the interview she did with Rap-Up about her struggle to learn to love and embrace herself. Cara is known for her messages on emotional health, kindness, and love of self in her music. Her inspiration for her music is derived from her own struggle to conquer mental health issues as well as insomnia. Reuters reported that she called her album "half chaotic, but half done". She claims she has grown through therapy, and encourages other people to get help when necessary. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on July 11th, 1996. When she was just 10 years old, her parents bought her a guitar which became the starting point of her love for music. 2013 was the year she recorded the songs she loved for YouTube the most popular media platform. This was to demonstrate that she had the ability and the confidence to pursue a career as an artist. In fact, one of her cover song Sweater Weather was the track that made her the focus of EP Entertainment. They allowed her to create and record her own songs.
