She released her debut single Here in 2015 at the age of aged 19. It became a huge hit immediately with both critics as well as fans praised the song. It peaked at number 19 on both the Canadian Hot 100 and Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone called the single one of its Best Songs in 2015. The singer released her debut Know It All album in the year that followed. The third track, Scars to Your Beautiful was among five songs that reached the top charts on Billboard including Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as Billboard Hot 100. The track was distinctive since a lot of people reacted to the interview she did in collaboration with Rap-Up regarding her struggles to learn to love and accept her. Cara is famous for including the themes of mental health and compassion and self-love in her music. All of it is a result of her personal experience as she been battling mental health issues as well as insomnia. According to a Reuters interview, her album was described as halfway tumultuous, half perfected. She says she grew through therapy and she encourages other people to get help when necessary. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on the 11th of July 1996. Her parents gave her a guitar when she was 10, and it ignited her love for music. In the age of thirteen, she began singing songs she loved on YouTube to prove to people that she had talent and was able to go after a career as musician. One of her covers, Sweater Weather, was the one that got her attention. EP Entertainment gave her an opportunity to develop and record her own tracks.
