At the age of 19, she published her first debut single Here. The single was a hit and received praise from both listeners and critics alike. The song made it to the top 19 in both the Billboard Hot 100 in Canada and also on the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone ranked the song among the 2015's Best Songs. The singer released her debut Know It All album in the year that followed. The third track, Scars to Your Beautiful was one of five tracks that made it to the top of the charts on Billboard as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. According to an interview Cara gave in conjunction with Rap Up, this track had lots in the minds of many of the listeners who related to her tale of accepting and loving yourself. Cara's tracks often contain positive message about mental health, and how important it is to love yourself. She's been in the midst of insomnia and anxiety, which has influenced her music. According to a Reuters interview, she has described her album as half-tumultuous and half-perfected. Her growth was aided by a therapy. She also encourages her fellow singers who need help to ask for assistance. Alessia Cara grew up in Toronto in Canada. She was born July 11th, 1996 to parents with Italian heritage. When she was just 10 years old, her parents gifted her a guitar that became the foundation of her passion for music. In 2013, she performed her favorite songs for YouTube which is a well-known media platform. The goal was to prove that she had the talent and confidence to be an artist. Indeed, one of her cover tracks Sweater Weather became the song that made her the focus of EP Entertainment. They allowed her to create and record her own songs.
