Alessia Cara

In the year 2015, at age 19, she released her debut single, Here. This single received a lot of acclaim and was well received both by critics and listeners. It was ranked in the top 19 on both the Billboard Hot 100 in Canada and on the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named it one of the most memorable songs of 2015. At the same time when she debuted Know It All. Scars to Your Beautiful, one of her original five tracks featured on the Billboard Charts including Billboard Hot 100 from Canada, and Billboard 200 for the Canadian Albums Charts. The track was distinctive since a lot of people reacted to her interview in collaboration with Rap-Up regarding her struggles to learn to love and accept herself. Cara is known for incorporating songs about mental health, kindness and self-love into her music. Everything stems from her personal journey as she has struggled with mental health issues as well as insomnia. According to a Reuters interview, the album is described as half tumultuous half perfected. She tells people that she discovered her development in therapy. Alessia Cara has been a Canadian musician since 1996. Her parents come from Italian heritage. Her parents gave her an instrument when she was 10 and this brought her to music. She began covering her favourite songs at age thirteen to show everyone that she could sing and had the determination required to be an artist. In fact she covered one of her song Sweater Weather became the track that made her the focus of EP Entertainment. They allowed her to create and create her own songs.
