The single was published at the time she was turning 19. It was an instant hit that both critics and fans praised it. The track made it to the top 19 in both the Billboard Hot 100 in Canada and on the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named the track one of the top Songs of the year. That same year she debuted the album she titled Know It All, the song Scars to Your Beautiful ranked on the Billboard Hot 100 and Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. The track was also among the first five songs. The track is special because, based on the Rap-Up interview that she gave many of the listeners could identify with her journey of learning to love themselves and rethinking their beliefs about her. Cara includes messages of love and kindness in her songs. Every song Cara sings comes directly from her battle with mental illness, insomnia as well as other problems. According to a Reuters interview, the album has been described as a half tumultuous half perfected. She says she grew by therapy and is adamant about encouraging other people to get assistance when needed. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on July 11, 1996. Her first guitar was purchased by her parents after she turned 10 which ignited the passion for music. At 13 she began performing her favourite songs through YouTube a major media platform to prove to the world she had the talents and determination to develop into a professional singer. Actually the cover tracks Sweater Weather is the one that made her the focus of EP Entertainment. They allowed her to create and record her own tracks.
